Fireflies by Owl City
I’d like to blame Snowman and Lobster
That I’m losing sleep, slowly.
I’m so hard with obsession,
God damn.
Cause this track is repeatin’
as we speak.

Let the chemicals mix in the rain,
Drown me with the acid rain.
Original scented wrinkly ultra clean,
Tumble me till I’m clean.
With a hint of fabric softner,
Repel me from you.
Sweetie, sort me please.
find my other half, honey.
Cause I’m lost in the cycle.
Final Fantasy XIII update

My Hands by Leona Lewis
君がいるから by Sayuri Sugawara
They also announced the English theme song being “My Hands” by Leona Lewis. Someone I don’t know cause I don’t listen to Western pop music. The sad thing about this song is, its better than the Japanese theme song. Note that I did not say I liked either of them because I don’t. My problem with the Japanese theme is that the song itself is a bad song. Poor orchestration, poor vocals, poor lyrics, the music itself is just bad. The English song at least is better sung, and fits more with Final Fantasy in terms of fantasy like. My problem with the two songs is that its just too mainstream to fit in with Final Fantasy.
Based on the trailers, Final Fantasy 13 is set to be a dramatic, emotional roller coaster and judging by the two chosen theme songs, the ending is predicted to be a happy ending. Therefore, the Final Fantasy 13 theme should be one that is fanfare like instead of main stream love ballad.
One alternative choices I’ve come up with, both come from Tales of Legendia
My tales
I approve of this as the Final Fantasy 13. I mean the entire game is outrageously over the top, might as well put a cherry on top.

Normal everyday life is a North American generalization
like a dream
True normal is a state of constant starvation
unlike the dream
1st person normality is what I dictate as normal
After numerous revalations
I am normal and you are all abnormalities in my dream world.

If you were playing a chess game, or any strategy board game that involves moving pieces, who are you in this game? My understanding on how the military works is that they carry out orders from those higher up. If that is so, the person making all the decisions in chess should be the King. But the king doesn’t move by itself and neither do the other pieces. Its almost as if you are playing as God, and moving your pieces as the will of God. But if you’re God, than the other person you’re playing chess with is also a God with another agenda.
Hmmm….
In IDC, a course I took in my final year of high school, we studied some metaphoric ways of looking at the process of teaching and learning. One of these metaphors was midwifery. The idea was that we, the student, holds all the answers within us. We just need to pull it out. The teacher in this case plays the roles of the midwife.
Anyway, the point is, one type of way to think of learning is that you already know everything, you just have to pull it out of your brain. But if we hold all the knowledge we are too learn in our heads already, then we also know how to deal with situations and drama because we already have the knowledge. It could also be very possible that we know the very names of the people we may meet later in life, we just had to bump into them to remember. So based on this theory, there is such thing as fate. But whether you believe in the original idea where knowledge comes from within will effect how this bullshit might sound.
Oooooo…I don’t think I explained myself very well…
Flowers. Everybody thinks they’re pretty, even the dark gothic archetypes, with their black roses. But if we talk about flowers on a scientific level, they’re just sexual organs made for the sole purpose of getting bugs to rape them. So basically if someone gives you a boquet of flowers, it could mean that they want you to reproduce. If you want to look like a flower (putting make up on, wearing floral colours or patterns, etc,) it means you just want to get in someone’s bed.
Just a random thought.
Hong Kong

After staying in Hong Kong for the last couple of weeks (and a short visit to Malaysia) I have come to notice some peculiar trends in Asia Land.
Trend 1: the strapless dress shirt.
Before the trip, I would take it upon myself to have a cup of bubbling (pearl) tea at Tea Shop 168 and do some research on fob fashion. There was one style that I thought was very cute but thought it was very impratical, the dress worn with a shirt underneath. Usually the dress is one that has no straps so the nature of the dress tends to slip down on you, especially if you’re a normal Asian female. In short, pulling off an outfit like that would require a lot of extra manual labour from one self. But I upon arriving in Hong Kong, I have discovered the trick. The shirt it self is actually physically stitched together with the dress! Wow, the person who designed it must be smart because then a typical flat Asian doesn’t have to worry about pulling up the skirt! Yahhhhhh!
Trend 2: The trucker hat that isn’t on their head.
Coming of the MTR, I see a group of friends, the girls wearing trucker hats. But there was something funny, extremly funny, about the picture. Their hats weren’t actually on their heads, but merely placed on top of it. Then I noticed there were many other females sporting the same trucker hat look. I’m not sure why they don’t actually put the hat on so that it doesn’t get blown away but it makes their head look hilariously big. I can only assume the girls wanted a few more inches added, and thought putting a hat on their head would do the trick.
Trend 3: Walk and play on your handheld console.
This trend did not come as much of a surprise seeing as everyone is Asian. But what was interesting was how some of these people have acquired the skills to play and walk to the next train or destination at the same time, without crashing into obstacles. Some other things I noticed is that everyone who owned a PSP played a Gundam game, and everyone who owned a DS bought the light blue version or another version but personalized with stickers or a case.
I’ll post this for now. Busy repacking.

So I went to my university orientation and there are the things I remember from it.
Heavy textbooks
Lots of Asians
“Physics is like Mario…with the math 1UP mushroom.”
Oh and I saw a doppleganger of someone I dislike. I’m hoping to somehow make the two of them meet and then watch them die because there is a myth that says if you meet your doppleganger you will die, or one of you will die. so I’m hopping that the douche with no bags will die without me having to exert much effort. Although, it wouldn’t be as fun if I don’t get to see the expression on his face when he meets his demise~ oh woops, I revealed the gender.
This fall is going to be fun! (no sarcasm intended)
