For those of you who watched the Japanese version of Cardcaptor Sakura or read the manga, the story ends with basically SyaoranxSakura.

Now ten years later, the latest chapter of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (chapter 189) has revealed that Tsubasa, and xxxHolic are actually the sequals to the original Cardcaptor Sakura series.

I shall warn you now, if you have not completed the Tsubasa OVA, I suggest that you stop reading now.

I will start with an idea I thought of while I quickly attempt to repair my brain from the damage CLAMP has dealt once again.

I noticed that in Tsubasa, the theme of there being two of the same people has been continuously reappearing throughout the story. Though xxxHolic is a separate manga in itself, Marudashi and Morodashi are seen as a pair. Which reinforces the theme from within xxxHolic since the Tsubasa and xxxHolic plot cross paths with each other. Since I have not read enough of xxxHolic, I can not specifically draw other examples. However, since the main point of this post is about Tsubasa…

In Tsubasa, there are the vampire twins, these twins are mentioned early in the manga, and then finally make their appearance in volume 13-14. Later, it is revealed that there are two Syaoran, one being the original and the other being a clone. After that, we discovered that Fai had a twin brother.

I have to say that Fai’s background story is the most complicated story I have ever read.

Fai is not actually Fai but Sai, and that he and his brother (Fai) were both imprisoned in a place where neither one of them could escape. One was placed in a tower, and one was placed at the bottom of the tower, with a wall surrounding the area. They were placed there because it was thought that having twins was a curse, and that in order to get rid of the curse, only one of the twins could free themselves. Eventually Fai told Sai to save himself, but Sai did not want to leave his brother behind, so he promised his brother that he will leave this cruel prison as Fai instead, and will one day come and save him. Thus, Sai became Fai. Therefore, the pattern was not just about twins, but the idea that one was a fake, and one was the original. However, maru and moro, and the vampire twins obviously do not apply to this idea.

Finally, there is the whole idea of Sakura’s soul and body, as well as there being a clone of Sakura and an original who is trapped somewhere between dimensions.

After the whole chess game arc, Sakura’s body and soul were separated. Her body remained with Syaoran (the real one), Fai, Kurogane, and Mokona, but her soul was lost, or so what I understood from the manga. This is where CLAMP starts not making any sense. Everything from here on is based on my own interpretation and may be COMPLETLY WRONG.

Once passing the Fai story arc, they finally land in Tokyo, the Tokyo Kurogane knew. There, Syaoran searches for Sakura through the power of the Cherry Blossom tree. However, the clone Syaoran appears as well, and he and the real Syaoran have a duel. This duel led to the death of Sakura, who ended up being a clone. The gang finally decide to search for Sakura, whether it be the real Sakura, or the soul of the clone Sakura that went missing. Either way they are both missing and needs to be found and it hurts my brain trying to understand what happened.

After that, CLAMP kept throwing plot twist after plot twist, and finally, it ended with…ANOTHER plot twist. I went to livejournal to see other fan’s reactions, and they are the same as mine “Why CLAMP!?” there was one interesting comment about how Syaoran is pulling an Oedepuis. Lets hope that that is not the case and that the Sakura he saw in the last page of chapter 189 is a different Sakura, who just ended up at the same place for the same reasons as him.

When you thought the world of Tsubasa and xxxholic were separate from everything else, you get proven wrong.

Anyway, since I’m bored, and I’m assuming you people are bored as well, I shall cure you of your boredom…NICOVIDEO But I realized that you need a password and such, and it’s in Japanese so, you can check out Mikururun’s profile on youtube for awesome videos of doom.

English class…I have never been so frustrated in my life over English. English was a good time to take a nap, and it was a good time to doodle. But, with the bitch as my teacher, I have now come to loath going to English. I am at the point where I could simply just walk out of the classroom slamming the door behind me, and never come back.

It isn’t just me who has a problem with the bitch, but my entire math class wants her to die. One day in math, we started talking about how English has become the death subject, and everyone is failing yet we speak the language. Then P.Crips (the Math teacher) decided to tell us a story about how his English class was when he was in high school back in the day. He told us that all they did was pick a topic and write anything on the topic, whether it be a story, a poem, or an essay. They would spend the week writing about the topic and then at the end of the week, the class would bring in their finished work and swap papers and mark it. The teacher would then collect everything and record your mark.

I thought “Why couldn’t they just keep everything simple?” Think of all the emo poems I would have wrote by now if that was how my English class was.

For those of you who don’t know, Last Friend is a new spring 2008 drama. Starring Nagasawa Masami as Aida Michiru, Ueno Juri as Kishimoto Ruka, Eita as Mizushima Takeru, Mizukawa Asami as Takigawa Eri, Nishikido Ryo as Oikawa Sousuke. I just noticed that Eita’s character’s name is Takeru and that just reminds me of T.K from Digimon. Anyway, the first episode started of great. I have only watched the raw, but I can already see how intense it is.

Girl (Aida Michiru) works at a beauty salon. The problem is she’s bullied by other employees, something like Cinderella. She’s forced to do manual labor instead of what she was supposed to do, that being cut people’s hair. On the home front, her mom drinks a lot and brings home men all the time and would not pay attention to her. However, this problem is taken car of when her boyfriend (Oikawa Sousuke) offers her to stay at his house. While all this is happening, she bumps into a high school friend (Kishimoto Ruka) They are reunited and everyone is all happy again! Ha! Wrong. There’s still half an hour to this show. In the final half of the first episode, the girl gets bullied again and so she goes to her boyfriends house because he was the only one who could comfort her. But that changed when he reads one of her text message on her phone. I’m assuming it’s either from the high school friend or another guy because he starts asking her a lot of questions, and then starts beating her up. The girl runs away and suddenly meets with the high school friend. At this point it is obvious that she is a lesbian and likes the girl. So lesbian girl offered the girl a place to stay for the night. Stuff happens they get drunk and the episode ends with the lesbian girl kissing the girl.

Very intense. In one episode they touched on bullying at the work place, an alcoholic mother who brings home men a lot, a girl who likes her a lot, and an abusive boyfriend. This girl has bad luck. On top of that, you have someone who has a phobia of having man-women relations due to past trauma or was it the other person…well someone. So lots of stuff going on in this drama and Ryo can be such a mean person that it’s scary.

If you watched Gundam SEED Destiny, than you should know about Dullindal’s Destiny Plan to sort people based on their genetic make up and the cheesy cartoon that came with it. Well…that plan failed, not? I was searching for an article that I could use for my biology position paper and instead I found an article about how employers are now asking people to undergo genetic testing in order to see whether or not the person is “genetically predisposed to cancer, diabetes, arthritis or other ailments that eventually might impact your ability to perform the job or might drive up insurance costs.” It isn’t exactly like the Destiny Plan but the article does say that “it’s standard operating procedure for many employers and a federal mandate in some industries.” which was kind of what Dullindal was going for. What is interesting that this was written three years before Dullindal’s propaganda aired in episode 48 新世界へ. Good job Fukuda and wife for doing your homework, but this still doesn’t change the fact that you were smoking weed while working on Gundam SEED Destiny.

On another note, yes, I do believe the world should watch Gundam.
