A response to a friend

I’ll just make new friends
It’s not that hard
talk to the person next door, you don’t like them, don’t talk to them
if they don’t like you and you don’t talk to them, then you have a mutual connection there

Even if i stay here…
it’s not like it can be the same
everyone goes their own way, even if they are staying home, it’s not like you can see them everyday in the halls unless they are in the same classes as you which I highly doubt
but everyone is moving forward so I shouldn’t drag them behind because i don’t want people to leave, or because I’m going to feel lonely.
that’s why you should become closer or stay as close as possible while we still can T T
so that when we all leave, we all know that we’ll see each other again
I don’t want to leave like when i left my elementary school, not sure I’ll see everyone again

so that is my long rant to I don’t know what

Melancholic Tears of Joy

Ikimono Gakari “Planetarium”

Earlier in the year I posted about their other single “Hana wa Sakura Kimi wa Utsukushi”. Ikimono Gakari’s latest single “Planetarium” definitely surpasses “Hana wa Sakura Kimi wa utsukushi” and is one of their better ballads. This song is amazingly beautiful. I cried listening to it cause it just felt so reassuring for some odd reason. Even the PV is a good watch. Kiyoe’s voice fits the song very well and easy on the ears. The piano gives a nice starry like quality, and the the strings make me feel like I’m soaring in the night sky, which I find very calming for someone who’s angsty on a daily bases. Unlike most of Ikimono Gakari’s other songs, this song doesn’t have a harmonica. Although I’m not complaining because the harmonica would just change the tone of the song completely. Overall, great song to listen to.

Also, WordPress is toolish for not letting me post the song file.

Fixing problems

Panda Army General is in the house, and has come to solve some important problems. Consider this a rant.

Celebration Saturday
Celebration Saturday has been a tradition for me for the past 6 years, and never have I felt this confused about why I was there in the first place. Previous Celebration Saturdays have always been to support to United Way, to support and help the people around us. However, this year, the focus was on our school’s Triangle of hope. After watching Macross Frontier, I think I have had enough of triangles but I will explain to you what it is anyway. The Triangle of Hope is essentially a partnership with three schools: One private school, one public school, and one school in Africa. I go to the private school, where its admin believes that it be a good idea to fund raise money for this triangle. The school itself donates and fund raise for the triangle enough already, why go overboard when more than 50% of the money is just going to us? My understanding of a partnership is that you give and take from each other, but this relationship is one sided. Also, how can these African schools deal with so much money being pooled into them? Think about it…People in Africa are dying because the media is telling us they are dying. These dying people then see this school receiving a huge sum of money that could be used to buy food, and clothing instead of books, pencils, and desks. Unless the school actually does not get that much money, and we get most of it. Because of this change in cause, the enthusiasm level was very low this year. Not as many people baked cookie grams, not as many people brought in silent auction items, not as many people overflowed the bake sale with bake goods. For God’s sake, they ran out of cookie grams by the second shift, and I had my hopes on sharing some with friends. Although the green movement is a step forward, the Triangle of Hope killed Celebration Saturday. I suggest leaving things the way they were

Note to people yelling at me because my program only had the school mascot (drawn slightly more to resemble a Pokemon): Community partnership my ass, this isn’t even a triangle, where there are two people fighting over for one person’s love. Geez! Plus they weren’t yelling when I first showed them the damn sketch. Retarded people trying to out smart me, and retarded admin for being ignorant.

CISMF
This year, our school will not be participating in CISMF. CISMF is an event where music students from different private schools join together to make music. Strong image, good cause, why pull out? Is it because their aren’t any triangles? Jokes. I heard from a friend, who heard from another friend (yeah really sketchy when I say it that way) that it was because the school did not wish to host this year. In other words, they didn’t not want to have mass amounts of teenagers in the school. It is understandable that last year was a mess, with someone pulling the fire alarm, and people smoking in the bathrooms. But to pull out of something merely because you do not want to have these people in the vicinity? I say that is the cowards way out. In our school, almost half the school is part of a music ensemble, and mostly all these students audition for CISMF. To tell these people, including me, that we can not audition because the school is not part of CISMF because we did not want to host, is bullshit. Then to say that you don’t want to have people smoking, and pulling fire alarms because it’ll be a hassle, is just ridiculous. The students who WISHES to participate are being punished because some idiot pulled a fire alarm, and a collective group of idiots decided to smoke something in the bathroom. If I was the “admin” I would have bitched at the organizer, “If you want us to host, then we don’t want last year to repeat.” Instead of “I don’t want to host, I’m not going.”

Note: I realized that the fire alarm might have been caused because of the smokers…

Admin
In IDC, we talked about how the admin at our school controls everything, and that in order to pass something and make it happen, you must go through admin. For example, our school now has sweater vests. These fashionable uniform items were recently brought into the uniform a couple of years ago. But in IDC, we learned that these sweater vests took 3 years to get through to admin. For a simple…piece of clothing, it took 3 years… The Admin, nobody actually knows who they are, but if something about the school is wrong, it is the Admin’s fault. If the student council wanted to make changes but are unable to, it is because the Admins won’t let them. To me, the admin is an omnipotent entity, and controls the school. Not even teachers have say on things. For example the CISMF problem. So to solve the problems of the students, and possibly teachers, this “Admin” needs to be challenged by the community as a whole. Being democratic about it does not seem to be working as shown by how pathetic the student council is.

Other things
The computer labs should be open so that the middle schoolers don’t take over the library. It is a fucking library, some people are trying to work.

The cafe prices need to go down or else everyone will resort to eating only a bagel for lunch. Trying to be environmentally friendly is one thing, but hiking up the prices is another. We paid shit amount of money to go to this school, there shouldn’t be a need to have to fork over more money.

I understand that you’d need Grad dues for food, but to pay $80 just so I can get my sweater, and pay for formal? What about the people who do not want to go? (that being me) Why am I forced to pay for something I did not plan on attending but is now forced to cause I paid so much money for it?

Gundam Wing

Remember the days, where nobody knew what anime was, and when Pokemon was thee biggest thing for a kid?

Being pro

I have discovered a new purpose in my life, other than trying to take over the world with my Panda Army. It is simply to do something pro. By pro, I mean people will look at what I have done and say “pro”.

I’ve been procrastinating a lot and watching people on youtube do amazing things, and I thought “I want to do something amazing too. I want to borrow some of their proness” But I realized that by borrowing someones talent, my proness would have come from someone else. So I decided I will make myself do some pro things in life, not sure what, but keep watching and I might not disappoint you.

Omedetou Yamapi

Yamashita Tomohisa (23) from NewS, graduated from Meiji University Commercial Science department today. He attended the graduation ceremony with 30 other students at the college facility.
“I made all my fans worry about me, and finally I can graduate today. ” he said, looking at his diploma.
“This diploma is filled with all my effort I spent for the past 4 and a half years.”

This is great news from NEWS member Yamapi. I find it amazing how he managed to graduate when he had to juggle both a full time job (being an idol) and a student.

So happy~

It has just been released today by Square Enix that Kingdom Hearts Re: Chains of Memories shall be coming to North America in December.

As a Kingdom Hearts fan, I am extremely delighted by the news because I’ve wanted to play the game however could not do to language barriers. If anything, this game has become top priority on my must game list for Christmas. So excited, so excited, so excited, SO EXCITED OMFG!!!! *explodes in fangirl excitment*

For those of you who do not know, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chains of Memories is a recreation of Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories for the PS2 which was released about two years ago in Japan, along with Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+. Therefore, the game shall follow the same storyline as Chains of Memories, but in full 3D along with extra bonus.

Only one talking

I noticed this a long time ago, but whenever I’m talking to friends, I’m usually the only one talking. Makes me feel like my “rants” are rather boring. So then I end up talking more because I’m trying to get them to say something in response to what I’m saying, but in the end it never happens and I just get left unheard…most of the time (this could also explain my abnormally loud voice.) Then I start wondering if I’m an annoying person, but then I realized that I already know that I’m an annoying person because my train of thoughts don’t usually stop, and creates a really long run on sentence. So then I get annoyed at the fact that these people do not respond, when they know I don’t plan on changing my typing patterns because it’s how I think (I think this is how I get 500 words/min speeds on that typing game.) But then I don’t want to get people angry because I’m angry at them for annoying me because I want to talk to them, even though it’s just me spewing out trivial stuff about anime, yamapi or NEWS, or emo asian topics that get everyone emo. So the true intentions of my rants are to try and engage in an interesting conversation, yet I always end up bothering the people on the other end because they never respond, so I have no idea if they (my friends) are getting everything and reading it. So recently I have decided to try something new and try prompting questions such as “how are you?” and “what are you doing?” but those questions get boring quickly, and also that isn’t really a conversation. Then I reflected a bit longer and wanted to ask if they actually read most of my rants? Most of them would probably answer “Hell no!” cause it be a waste of time, but I wonder if there is someone out there who listens to everything I say? Cause it’s one thing to not respond, but it’s an entirely different thing to not bother listening.

If someone made it this far, then that’s cool.

6 rants

Rant 1-
Last post was actually very well timed because in IDC-education for a changing world we are discussing whether education is good, does content matter, and facts. It’s unfortunate that my opinion doesn’t really fit in with the overall discussion people set onto the table. But then again…the topics aren’t really my cup of tea. Which explains the absent of my voice during table discussions.

Rant 2-
Code Geass R2 is the equivalent of Gundam SEED DESTINY. Equivalent in the sense that it got raped by the scripted writer. Though I’ll forgive the guy who wrote Code Geass because the time slot wouldn’t allow him to show everyone what should be Code Geass. (For those of you who don’t know, it is rumored that because the script writer of Gundam SEED DESTINY did not like the voice actors for Cagalli and Shinn, she screwed with the plot. But then again, Gundam SEED was good…)

Rant 3-
OMG GUNDAM 00 S2!

Rant 4-
Tales of Vesperia is a very good JRPG and is personally one of the better of the Tales of…installment. For one, there’s more depth. In Tales of Symphonia, the concepts and common sense of the worlds weren’t clearly elaborated, and I feel in Tales of Abyss they were thrown at you at break neck speed as an attempt to clear Luke’s ignorance to the world. In Tales of Vesperia, the information needed just comes naturally I feel. The artwork of the game is gorgeous, and animated really well. The opening theme song’s lyrics are pure genius, and it’s nice that the North American released version gets and English version of the song, instead of the song’s instrumental or dubbed over by something else. The background music works well with the scenes and the overall feel of the game. Though the songs do feel a bit recycled from previous Tales of…games. Gameplay is done well, despite having Japanese button controls (A which is usually X on the PS2 and PS3 is exit instead of enter, and B which is usually the O is the confirm, or X button.) The most interesting aspect of the game for me is the main character Yuri. He is unlike any main hero. Not following the emo, angsty, or the brave knightly prince characteristics of main character hero. Oh, and the fact that you can play as a dog. All the characters in Tales of Vesperia are interesting. Estelle is a princess who likes reading books and knows many things because she reads so much, but is very innocent as well. Rita is a tsundre bitch who is a researcher and as a lot of attitude. Then there’s Flynn who is a Guy look alike, without his phobia for females (which is sad because I loved Guy because he was so freaked out about girls). The villains of the game are also intriguing such as Zagi, who is crazy in a psychotic “I want to kill you” sense, and Yeager who says “ja!” a lot. Overall, great game want to finish it.

Rant 5-
I finally finished .hack//G.U Vol 3 (basically ending the entire series.) The only complaint I have is that if Haseo got his duel guns earlier in the game instead of the last quarter because Haseo’s Xth form is <3. Oh and the other complaint I have is that whoever designed Haseo’s Xth form, should have gotten rid of those dishes on his ass, cause it makes his ass look wide. Not that Endurance minds cause he’s gay for Haseo’s love.

Rant 6-
Tokyo Game Show is coming soon, and I’m excited for all the Kingdom Hearts announcements.

That’s all for today.
