Google Chrome: Hatsune Miku (初音ミク)

I really enjoy this video. Since the song was produced by livetune, I’m already instantly bias towards it. However, the video itself clearly depicts the phenomena that Hatsune Miku, Vocaloid, has caused: an invigorating subculture of pure creativity. In the video, there’s the producer, there’s the musician, there’s lyrics writer, there’s the artist, there’s the video producer all collaborating and pooling their talents together to make one youtube (well, nico nico) video. The viewers hype and it spreads across the world to inspire someone to Google Hatsune Miku. I’ve been a fan of vocaloid, not for the songs and definitely not for the voice, but for that creative amature spirit. It’s really inspiring to see that what was once an underground kind of activity has now become a competetive force in the music industry (in Japan at least.) Everyone can be a creator with Vocaloid.
