I’ve gotta say, this is UVERworld’s best song to date. The saxaphone was a nice fresh touch to the instrumentation, but the bass is just really hot. Although the saxaphone only appears in the introductory theme (which then appears at least two or three more times in the song), it really is the main highlight rather than a minor transitional instrument. I also like the guitar chords going on. Overall, I gotta say the instrumentation in this song is just perfect. Also, unlike the song they did for the Gundam 00 movie Qualia (I think), the transitioning between themes is so smooth that the melodies just melt into the other. This song isn’t just some A and B on repeat: there’s epic instrumental bridge themes and even a C part. It’s got a lot of contrast with melodic movement. There is a balance between moving and stagnant vocal melodies, as well as harmonic movement in the instrumental parts. The lyrics are really well written this time around (either that or the translations I found at Gendou.com are FANTASTIC!) My favourite part is the last stanza:
It just wraps the song nicely and I like the repetitive consanance.
Oh and I’m gonna say that Takuya is really hawt in the PV.
